Combat fixes

Finally finished making the changes for names appearing in combat. This includes the parts that broke when I added the 8x8 VWF code. When the game was converting the smaller 8x8 font into the larger 12x12 font, it was looking at the tiles used in the VWF instead of the letters. So running into a demon would say something like "Demon IJKL appeared!". Here is a pic of the message working correctly.

I also added a fix to display the full class name. It says "Kaijuu" right now, because I'm still contemplating changes to the final class name list. Right now, "Monster" seems like the most likely candidate. In Japanese, Kaijuu is the term they use to reference their many movie monsters, like Godzilla or Gamera. I don't want to imply size with the term that will be used though, since not all Kaijuus are huge. But also, "Monster" is a bit generic considering that everything in this game could technically count as a monster. :(

I also fixed the Devil Analyzer for combat. I moved some of the stats and values around so that the window would stay the same size. The Japanese game had them arranged as:

VitalityIntellect
StrengthSpeed
Luck

Here is a pic of what it currently looks like:

I'm not sure what to work on next. I guess there's no rush since no one's stepped forward to translate the game's script yet. After I make a few more improvements, I'll try Romhacking.net's board one more time.

Thanks for working on this project,
I'm anxious to play it.

Perhaps you could do an interim release in its incomplete state?

Looks VERY nice so far. I don't suppose anyone's been able to step up and translate so far, huh?

Hopefully, ddst is too busy working on the project to be checking the blog. ^^

I hope you are still working on this project! I normally don't comment on projects like this but if the problem is lack of motivation because you think very few people care, well, as you can see, there is a couple of people that would like to play game game translated!

Keep up the good work and good luck!

I hope some work is still being done, despite the lack of a translator.

This is looking good thus far, I certainly hope you can find a commited translator / proof reader for this.

Its a long shot but AGTP is working on the first SMT from the NES, and they translated two other SMT games for the SNES so perhaps you could ask for their help script wise and if everything works outyou could have a joint release or something?

Your hacks are surely making things shape up correctly. I would love to help if I could but I know zip about romhacking and zip -1 about japanese language so, you'll have to do with just my encouragement ^.^' I wish you luck and keep up the good work.

Just thought I'd say how awesome this project and game looks, along with everyone else. Though the Famicom games have better music, this is clearly the one that should be translated. Looking forward to playing it and hoping progress is still being made.

Progress?! It might be asking a lot, but possibly even a pre-build of some kind? I'm looking forward to this piece of history in Megaten.
